Struthers City Schools Athletics

Struthers Volleyball JV & Varsity teams lost to Boardman last night in straight sets.  Varsity Scores: 20-25, 13-25, 11-25 For the Varsity, senior Gianna Martin led the way with 6 kills and 8 digs. Senior setters Andonia Kavouras and Emily McDowell both contributed to the offense by dishing out 5 assists. Kavouras also scooped up 6 digs while McDowell followed with 5 digs and contributed 3 aces from the service line.  JV Scores: 19-25, 11-25 For the JV, sophomore Molly Watson contributed 3 aces from the service line and had an assist. Junior Samantha Benson contributed 2 assists and 4 digs and a kill in the match. Junior outside hitter, Adyson Bury contributed 3 digs and a kill in the loss.
