Struthers City Schools Athletics

25-21, 25-20, 25-19 Struthers Varsity volleyball defeated Springfield 3-0 on the road Monday night improving to 4-6 on the season. For the Wildcats senior outside hitter Gianna Martin led the offense with 7 kills at the net and 4 aces from the service line while also chipping in on the defensive end with 7 digs and 2 blocks. Fellow seniors Andonia Kavouras and Elliana Benson each racked up 6 digs, with Emily McDowell adding 11. Junior Chloe Curd held the net with 3 blocks. McDowell and Kavouras orchestrated the offense with 9 and 8 assists respectively. 25-22, 25-18 The JV fell to Springfield 2-0. Sophomores Leanna Corinaldi and Molly Watson led the offensive charge with 5 kills and 4 kills, respectively. Corinaldi also contributed 4 blocks. In the back court, sophomore Addyson Dubos led the charge with 14 digs while junior Samantha Benson contributed 8 digs and orchestrated the offense with 6 assists.
